Re: Holiday in Handcuffs – I saw the previews for this show and I thought it looked cute. I like both Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Heart so; I made it a point to get home in time so my family and I could watch the show together. I have to say I was truly disappointed, if I would have known before hand some of the things that were going to be in it we would not have watched it. Some of the things my kids were puzzled about saying “Mom what does that mean?” And my 15 year old said “why did they put that part in the movie—that is weird!” Since it was advertised as an ABC “family” show, I thought it would be fine. The theme was cute a girl kidnapping a boyfriend for the holidays because she was feeling pressured by her parents. There were things in the movie that did not need to be in it. Insinuating that Mario and Melissa were having kinky S&M sex and the man at the store running out to her to give her a pair of furry handcuffs. The pun referring to extra “virgin” olive oil was uncalled for. When the cops go to the waitresses apartment and the door opens she is dressed sexy in a teddy and her boyfriend looked gross with a big bow wrapped around his belly as they were running around the apartment chasing one another (gee – like what is that all about?) – it’s stupid to show that in a family movie. And another part where the girl’s brother announces that he is no longer dating some girlfriend – but has now switched to dating men. Things like that were totally inappropriate and uncalled for in a movie that is labeled a 'Family' Christmas show.
