Jason and Brooke have a loyal fan base, they will be saved again...it's Syesha's turn, can't stand her attitude, and she's gone from her black hair look to trying to appear that she is white (the straight hair). I would be even more thrilled if David A got voted off now, then David C's #1 spot would be much easier to grasp. If it is David vs David in the end, I will have nightmares waiting for the results......I will literally puke if that dorky kid with the obvious asthma and bad stage moves gets the prize!!!!!

with your logic, Brooke had very curly hair last night as opposed to when she wears it straight, was she trying to black up herself?

Hair is a woman's prerogative to wear how she wants, to imply she was trying to appear white is offensive. Her attitude shows confidence in herself and her ability to command a stage, I think you again confused mouthy Brooke with her, Brooke is the one with an attitude.

Having said all this, go David Cook, the true winner.

What......Apr 30th, 2008 - 16:38:29

Syesha is trying to make herself white because of her straight hair??? Get real - that's such a low-class remark. She has a beautiful voice and would be great on Broadway. David A. will go along way with the right structure and advice, and David C. will win because he appeals to more of what an American Idol is trying to achieve, and he is really good - another Daughtry. Brooke and Jason should have gone long ago. Brooke is too mouthy and pouty and Jason doesn't have much of a voice

I just wish AI would pick more modern songwriters for the contestants to choose songs from.

David...Apr 30th, 2008 - 16:43:34

Archulata butchered those songs and gave two crummy performances in a row.
He should go..stop powdering this kids bottom because he's sincere.
Jason Castro...didn't try hard enough...Brooke Made me cry and Syesha rocked the house in a Motown sort of way.
BUT Cook...was the best of the night. Both times.

Brooke is long past her prime on AI - she needs to go. She looks more like 34 than her supposed 24, and her constant pouting is a real turn off!
At best, with her weak voice, she could sing in a piano bar. She's definitely not AI material.

Beg to differ..May 1st, 2008 - 03:17:04

Brooke White has a nice voice and has a Carly Simon-ish quality to her style and I think she is more talented than any of them.
I am I said was beautiful...I wish she'd make an album and put that on it.
I did not like either song Dave Cook did but honestly he ran away with the night.

People got wise and voted Brooke off, and I can't believe her embarrassing crying fit on stage. It was disgusting!

How would you feel?May 2nd, 2008 - 22:43:51

huhh...? How would you feel if you got to the very edge of living out one of your dreams and you get sent home by a few votes.
The show should be JUDGED by the Judges not call ins from wherever.
People cheat And fix things and hack phone systems from the outside.
It's easy. I am a lynux guy I know how these things are done.

Well I think Brooke being voted off was over due. She's butchered every performance for the last several shows. Two weeks ago she tried to accompany herself on the piano and couldn't maintain a cogent timing, her voice is only good, but this is the top five. As for her crying stint at the end, someone said how would you feel? Well look at Kristy Cook who went out with style when it should have been Brooke gone that week giving the weakest performance of the night. Look at Carly Smithson who went out with style too. And so did Johns. If she can't handle a set back, how is she ever going to survive the entertainment business.

I take issue with comments about Syesha also. I didn't originally like her very much just seeing her as a Whitney Houston clone. But in the last couple weeks she's stepped up her game. She didn't just sing, she entertained which is what this is all about. I don't think she'll win but she certainly is heading for a great career on Broadway.

Jason needs to be the next to go. Poor song choice, lackluster performances. He's just getting by on his very annoying cutsie pie, puppy dog looks. He's not going to be here much longer I suspect.

David A. This kid has a great career ahead of him, but he's lacking something serious to win this. He can belt out modern love songs/ballads with the best of em, but he's completely lost when it comes to anything else. His rendition of 'Coming to America' was painful. It's a song about imigrants struggles and hopes to build a new life in a new land, and he made it sound like a 1980's sitcom theme. He really needs to start doing his homework and understanding the history and flavor of the songs he chooses, and then interpret them as an artist. When he gets some maturity he's going to be a major star.

Finally David Cook. I've heard him give a couple OK performances, but I have to admit, the reason I started watching Idol and have continued is because of him. He's brilliant. He doesn't just sing, he tells a story. I think it's very ironic that he got to do some Neil Diamond songs. David reminds me very much of a young Neil Diamond. His first song was good, but not that memorable, but 'All I'll Ever Need Is You' was moving. His best performace so far though had to be 'Always Be My Baby', what a home run. Billy Jeans was another one, but my favorite moment yet was when he did 'Music of the Night' and did it straight, and did justice to it. That showed me his diversity. And it also gave him the best one liner of the entire show. 'Everyone is always trying to figure out what I'm going to do next, so what could be more unexpected than singing it the way it was written.' This guy has superstar written all over him. If he loses this competition it will show that it's just a popularity contest, and frankly, I suspect it could spell the end of American Idol if that unlikely event happens. I'm going to predict though that this coming week it will be down to David C, David A and Syesha.
